Are there any other meets/gathers that might be held somewhere in Central Florida? Or within a bit easier driving distance?

Sun, October 7, 2007 - 1:50 PMHi Kat. I'm looking for folks in the Orlando area, too. The Deland thing is, to the best of my knowledge, an annual event called Phoenix Phyre. It's primarily a pagan festival with a side order of fire dancers. (website: www.phoenixfestivals.com) I've never managed to attend, but it's been going on for a few years now. If there's something happening more often, someone at the festival would certainly know.
The festival is coming up, Nov 7th - 11th. I'm sure it'd be worth checking out.
And if you find anyone, let me know. I'm not a dancer, but I'm a photographer. I was delighted to meet some of the folks out in Clearwater, and I'd like to do it again without driving quite so far. -

Thu, May 22, 2008 - 7:59 AMIf there are enough fire performers in the Orlando area that are interested we could start having regular gatherings at my place (the Storm Shelter). It's not the beach, but I have 1.4 acres and neighbors that don't mind if I play with fire. Some of us already get together occassionaly but I wouldn't mind making it a regular thing...
